The Florida golf scene is home to some of the most iconic courses in the country. For decades, the Sunshine State has attracted players with its championship-level designs. Now, a new addition is set to make its mark on Florida’s east coast. Seventeen-time PGA Tour champion Jim Furyk is bringing his signature approach to course design for the first time at Glynlea Country Club in Port St. Lucie. Blending PGA-level strategy with playability for all skill levels, this highly anticipated course is set to open this summer. Here are the details you’ll want to know.

Preparing for a Summer Tee-Off
Progress at Glynlea Country Club is advancing quickly, with the course tee-off planned for mid-summer 2025. The infrastructure is in place for a beautifully maintained course, with everything from irrigation to regular aeration. Lake and green forming is also in place, with preserves, water features, and natural Florida vegetation defining the fairways and approach areas. Yet, it’s more than just the Jim Furyk Signature Golf Course on the horizon for this Florida country club. Glynlea’s permanent golf shop and cart barn will open alongside the course, as well as four pickleball courts and a tennis court. This will give Members a preview of the expansive 10-acre amenity campus that’s to come.

Jim Furyk’s Unique Par 5 Layout
The Jim Furyk Signature Course was designed to offer something for both seasoned PGA strategists and newcomers to golf. The par-72 layout stands out with five par fives and five par threes, a unique twist on the typical four of each seen in Florida golf. Four sets of tees, ranging from 4,249 to 6,755 yards, will cater to various skill levels. Furyk’s innovative use of bunkers will guide players toward ideal approach angles to the greens, turning them into strategic features rather than mere obstacles. Each of the 18 holes is named after one of Furyk’s PGA Tour wins, offering players a chance to experience his journey while they play.

Cutting-Edge Practice Technology Opens Soon
As the Florida Country Club prepares for the grand opening of its course, it is offering an exciting new way for golfers to practice their swing. The lighted Toptracer Aquatic Driving Range, featuring floating golf balls and greens, is planned to open this spring. The system not only tracks and analyzes each swing but also offers a game mode that adds an enjoyable twist to practice. Whether refining your game with advanced swing analysis technology or enjoying a round with a bite from the food and beverage truck, the driving range offers an inclusive, cutting-edge space for it all.

Golf Services Available This Spring
Hampton Golf will also introduce a range of innovative offerings this spring to enhance the Member experience. With their expertise in managing top clubs across Florida and beyond, Hampton Golf plans to open a temporary golf shop, offering Glynlea Country Club apparel and the latest equipment. Fitting services will also be available while the Member-exclusive facilities are underway for summer. After a round of practice, Members can enjoy casual dining alfresco at a food truck conveniently located on-site.

Port St. Lucie Golf Home Sales Begin Soon
While the Furyk course will initially be open to the public, access will eventually transition to resident-only Membership. For those interested in owning a golf home at Glynlea, four model homes are set to open this summer alongside the course. With prices ranging from the $400s to over $1 million, the golf club community will offer single-family homes, townhomes, and villas. Each neighborhood will feature stunning views of the golf course, lakes, or wetlands that surround the community. An HOA will manage maintenance, landscaping, and community amenities, providing residents with peace of mind whether they’re at home or away.
