Austin Burr, President of GreenPointe’s South Florida operations, opened the ceremony with a reflection on the journey: “Almost exactly two years ago today, we broke ground on this course,” he shared. “We had a vision — to build something fun, playable, and truly great. Furyk spoke to the collaboration behind his first Signature Course. “It takes a lot of teamwork to bring a course like this to life,” he said. “Mike Beebe and I designed it together, using the wetlands, ponds, and lakes as natural buffers to create something that feels connected to this land. Guests explored the new Pro Shop, walked the course, and took their first swings at the Toptracer Aquatic Driving Range. On Saturday, November 8, the celebration continued with Glynlea’s inaugural Pro-Am Tournament — the community’s first official round of play on the Furyk Course. Nearly 80 golfers checked in with Hampton Golf before heading out for the day with Glynlea-branded gift bags and pairings that included several PGA professionals hand-selected by Furyk.
Playing alongside participants were Tom Gillis, David Moreland, Michelle McGann, and Brett Quigley, each rotating among groups throughout the event.
