2025 marked a defining year for Glynlea Country Club, transforming a bold vision into one of Florida’s most exciting destinations for next-generation golf and private club living. As a featured neighborhood within Wylder, Port St. Lucie’s 1,970-acre master-planned community, Glynlea moved confidently into the spotlight with milestones that energized the Treasure Coast and elevated what a modern country club community can be.
From the debut of the Jim Furyk-designed championship course to the opening of the nation’s first Toptracer Aquatic Driving Range, the year delivered a series of moments that positioned Glynlea as both a rising golf destination and a growing residential hot spot in Port St. Lucie.
The Grand Opening That Captured the Treasure Coast
This November, Glynlea welcomed Members, future homebuyers, PGA champions and guests for a two-day Grand Opening Celebration that marked the debut of the Furyk Course and the community itself. The event brought a strong sense of momentum as visitors toured the course and future Club Campus to live music, experienced the emerging lifestyle and connected with the team bringing Glynlea to life. The celebration drew attention across the golf world as well, including coverage from Golfweek.
The celebration highlighted how much is already taking shape and how much more is still ahead. During opening remarks, Austin Burr shared, “We launch our grand opening of what is just the first phase of Glynlea Country Club. This place is going to be fun, and there is so much more on the way.” He outlined the vision for the 10-acre Club Campus, which will feature two resort-style pools, a full-service fitness center, spa, racquet sports and indoor and outdoor dining.
A Toptracer Moment Everyone Talked About
One of the most memorable highlights of the celebration took place on the Toptracer Aquatic Driving Range, the first installation of its kind in the United States. This water-based range allows golfers to aim toward twelve floating greens positioned across the lake while the system records ball flight, carry distance, trajectory and impact location with broadcast-level accuracy. For many visitors, it was the first time experiencing aquatic golf practice enhanced by advanced tracking technology.
During the celebration, attendees competed side by side with Jim Furyk and Retief Goosen, who hosted a clinic demonstrating how Toptracer elevates both practice and play in a way traditional ranges cannot replicate. The excitement continued through the evening and reached a high point when one participant earned a one-year Membership to Glynlea.
The Range has quickly become a favorite gathering place for Members, offering a setting where golfers can practice, socialize and enjoy the rarity of targeting greens on open water. Its blend of innovation and entertainment has already made it a signature landmark within the Port St. Lucie golf landscape.
A Championship Debut, Spotlighted by the Pro-Am Tournament
Another major moment of the year was the first Pro-Am Tournament on the newly completed Jim Furyk Course. PGA professionals Tom Gillis, David Moreland, Michelle McGann and Brett Quigley joined the field, bringing a competitive edge and an elevated sense of occasion to the round. Their presence showcased the course under tournament conditions for the very first time.
Designed by PGA TOUR champion Jim Furyk, the course introduces a layout shaped by natural wetlands, wide fairways suited to Port St. Lucie’s coastal winds and greens that reward creative shot-making. During the event, Furyk spoke about using the natural landscape to guide each hole and emphasized the importance of creating a course Members would be proud to call their own. His design philosophy has also been explored by GolfPass, which detailed how he and architect Mike Beebe developed the approach seen throughout Glynlea.
During his remarks, Furyk addressed the crowd, saying, “Ultimately, at the end of the day, this is your place. It was built for you, and we want you to enjoy it.”
Managed by Hampton Golf, the tournament demonstrated the level of care, conditioning and hospitality that will define the Member experience at Glynlea Country Club. It served as an early preview of the elevated golf culture that will continue to grow within the community.
New Model Homes Now Open Daily
The year also brought significant momentum on the residential side with the debut of five designer-furnished model homes by Lennar and Perry Homes. Their openings drew strong attention from across the region, with realtors and prospective buyers touring the homes and experiencing the character of the community firsthand. The turnout reflected the increasing demand for new construction country club living in Port St. Lucie and underscored Glynlea’s growing appeal.
Each model home showcases contemporary architecture, flexible layouts and the multigenerational versatility that defines the Glynlea lifestyle. Visitors can explore floorplans that emphasize natural light, seamless indoor and outdoor connection and the comfortable everyday living that complements the club experience.
