For the traditionalist, many country clubs seem to follow a standard blueprint. They have a golf course, a central clubhouse, and way too many rules to follow. Now, there’s a new Florida club community breaking the mold for golf club living in Port St. Lucie. Glynlea Country Club took an innovative approach to its 10 acres of land, creating a unique “Club Campus.” This design approach expands the variety of amenities offered and lowers the cost of carry, making it the ideal fit for future Glynlea residents. Surrounded by lakes and nature preserves, the signature Jim Furyk Signature golf course will be the picturesque centerpiece of the community. This new club campus will be the social centerpiece for the neighborhood, designed to create a sense of community across all generations. Let’s delve into the stylish amenities planned for Glynlea residents and their guests.
Jim Furyk’s First Signature Golf Course
The crown jewel of the Glynlea neighborhood will be a par 72 championship golf course designed by 17-time PGA Tour winner Jim Furyk. As his debut into the world of golf course architecture, Furyk aspired to deliver a tour-level course accessible to beginners. The result is a course spanning 4,249 to 6,755 yards with four sets of tees, five par fives, and five par threes. Bunkers play a strategic role, guiding player strategy rather than being mere obstacles. Green sizes vary, tailored to each hole’s challenges. Smaller, guarded greens are featured on shorter holes for precision, while larger greens on longer holes allow ample opportunities for chipping and putting.
Tech Forward Golf Practice Facilities
No golf course is complete, however, without a place for golfers to hone their skills. The Club Campus is set to feature dedicated areas for chipping and putting, complemented by a state-of-the-art Toptracer Aquatic Driving Range, offering a comprehensive setup to refine and perfect every shot. Members can gather for casual play or engage in spirited competitions, leveraging Toptracer’s advanced ball flight tracking to analyze and refine their performance in real-time. A fully stocked golf shop will serve as a one-stop destination for Members to access top-quality equipment, stylish apparel, and essential accessories. On-site golf professionals will guide Members in selecting the right gear or providing training sessions.
Fitness, Sports, and Wellness Rule
The Club Campus will also feature amenities that provide holistic well-being to its residents. The Fitness Center will be equipped with cutting-edge cardio and strength training equipment to help every individual in their wellness pursuit. Outside, friendly competition will thrive with multiple tennis and pickleball courts, catering to various levels of play and fostering a vibrant community of enthusiasts. Also planned, are two pools, including a resort-style pool and a lap pool, catering to both leisure and fitness. Ample lounge chairs on the sun decks invite relaxation, while a poolside bar/grill completes the experience with craft cocktails and delectable meals.
Where Nature Meets Community
Embracing South Florida’s natural beauty, the Club Campus will offer extensive outdoor spaces for communal gatherings. The Event Lawn will serve as a versatile hub for social interactions. This open green space will be a gathering spot for casual family picnics, impromptu sports games among neighbors, or larger neighborhood-wide events. Interconnected trails meander through the neighborhoods, providing picturesque avenues for leisurely walks or bike rides. These paths seamlessly link the neighborhoods to the Club Campus, encouraging residents to effortlessly explore the beauty of their surroundings. Pathways will also be designed large enough for golf carts, allowing residents to enjoy open-air rides through the Florida breeze.
Wylder’s Community Venues
As a gated community within the master-planned community of Wylder, Glynlea residents will also have access to Wylder’s community-wide amenities. A vast amount of hiking, biking, and exploring will be found on the miles of interconnected sidewalks and multi-use paths throughout Wylder. Glynlea residents will also be able to enjoy Wylder Park, a 113-acre park planned to be open to all St. Lucie County residents. Sections of Wylder have also already been donated to the county to build a high school and more in the future.
